Great color, but not a good general writing ink IMO

This is a very pretty periwinkle color with a lot of magenta chromoshading; however, the contrast of the light ink and the dark, pooled ink makes it kind of hard to read what you're writing when wet. I'm also not entirely convinced I like the splotchy chromoshading effect in writing, either. The ink is also not quite as lubricated against the page, which is something I've experienced with all of the lighter inks I've tried. I do think it's fairly legible with dry, and it's definitely a pretty color--just not for me.

Beautiful, but hard to read

Gorgeous periwinkle blue with purple shading, but I find this ink illegible when wet. It gets a bit more legible when the ink dries, but I still find this ink hard to use even in a medium Platinum nib. Very pretty as an accent color in your journal, but I wouldn't use this as a primary writing color.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I fill my fountain pen from an ink sample vial? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

The technique depends on the fountain pen's filling mechanism.

How much writing can I really do with 2ml? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

We find that usually you can get 2 good fills for a typical converter with our ink samples, or one good fill with a large capacity piston-filling pen.

How much writing you can do depends on you more than anything else. It mostly depends on how big or small you write, and the nib size you’re using. We recommend experimenting with different nib sizes to find what works best for you.
