The SCRIBO PIUMA A Riveder Le Stelle is born from this upward gaze. From the need to lift our heads, search for direction, and recognize beauty even in darkness. An ancient gesture that has always been with us: looking up at the sky and letting ourselves be filled with wonder. On clear nights, stars seem to whisper.

The name of this fountain pen is an invitation. It is inspired by the final verse of Dante’s Inferno, when darkness gives way to light, when Dante and Virgilio emerge from the abyss and the sky lights up once again above them. A verse that still reminds us today how powerful even a single fragment of light can be. The body, made of deep and translucent midnight blue resin, evokes the night sky dotted with stars. Palladium-finished details shine like thin lines of distant galaxies, tracing a secret map between the sky and the page.

PIUMA – A riveder le stelle is made in just 219 pieces. Each fountain pen is unique, like every truly starry night. An invitation to slow down, observe, and entrust to ink what deserves to remain.

Handmade in Italy, the SCRIBO PIUMA fountain pen features a seamless barrel and cap. The blue resin body is complemented by palladium trim, and fills with a cartridge/converter (included). It is fitted with an in-house made nib in 14k gold Flexible sizes or 18k gold standard sizes, with an ebonite feed. Each pen comes with a matching pen sleeve made of genuine leather and cotton.

About SCRIBO:

SCRIBO, short for Scrittura Bolognese, was founded by former employees of the retired OMAS brand. Fundamental values include writing tradition, design, craftsmanship, and made in Italy. Every working component of the fountain pen is handmade. The heart of every SCRIBO fountain pen is the gold nib. The classic 18-carat alloy and the special Extra-Flexible 14-carat alloy both offer elasticity, mechanical memory, and softness that highlights every fountain pen's writing quality.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I use this pen with ink cartridges? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

A cartridge is small, disposable, sealed plastic reservoir that holds fountain pen ink. These come pre-filled with ink, and typically you just push to insert them into place and you'll be ready to write!

This pen uses standard international ink cartridges, a common size which is available in many colors from various brands.

You can learn more about how to actually install an ink cartridge on our blog, or in this video tutorial:

How do I use a converter? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

A converter goes in the place of where the ink cartridge would normally go. From there, you can fill your fountain pen from bottled ink.

A converter is a detachable and refillable ink reservoir that allows you to use bottled ink in a cartridge-accepting pen. Typically you will install the converter into the grip section, dip the nib/feed into the ink, and twist or pull the converter knob to draw ink into the converter.

We have a great video showing how to use a converter here:

How do I clean this fountain pen? 8EDA1617-F73A-4DAF-8245-6D2BF4ABEB7B

It mostly comes down to flushing out the pen with water, and sometimes a little bit of pen flush if the ink is really stuck.

We put together a blog post with step-by-step instructions, or you can watch the video here:

We recommend a good cleaning every 2 weeks, and any time you change ink colors. Water will usually do the trick, but we recommend you use our Goulet Pen Flush if the ink has been left in the pen for a while and could have dried up, or when you’re switching ink colors.
