I really wanted to like these. The colors are wonderful. I watched the video Brian made and it sold me on these. But.... maybe I got a bad batch or something but these inks TOTALLY misbehave on Tomoe River paper notebook. Granted, I have the thinner GSM paper than maybe Brian used in his demo but these inks bled and feathered so much as to make them unusable on that paper. I was shocked because I only have a few inks that behave that poorly, including some Diamine scented inks and Baystate Blue and Baystate Concord Grape. My suggestion is that you should look into these inks and see if there is something wrong. Also, these are my first bad inks from Monteverde. Very surprised by this. I'm giving two stars instead of one because the colors are very nice.
Like the fountain pen and the ink it was great and then I ink the fountain pen.
While I live the 3 ink set, bettafish and tide pool teal look too similar. All 3 inks are beautiful and sheen wonderfully.
Love the purple and teal but blue leans teal and too close of a match to the other. Parrotfish Purple is a great match for my Benu Amethyst Tide.
