I bought these empty jars to build a pen care kit for my recent high school graduate and she loves being able to get a small amount of her favorite inks. We bought some 1" round labels and cotton-swabbed the tops to get the colors so she could spot it from above. We also got standard mailing 1" x 2 5/8" labels for the fronts (the old labels came off easily). They are great for gift-giving and easy to refill/transfer.
The wide mouth and manageable size lets you go low. And the Ink Meiser ink well fits in there, too.
I am very glad you have empty bottles, needed this to soak nibs.

I had two bottles of gorgeous Diamine ink (Sherwood Green and Ancient Copper, for the completists), and! my TWSBI fountain pen didn't fit into the necks. Solution! Get two empty wide-neck bottles, which I did. Now, I can use my gorgeous inks again. Price was right; speedy delivery.
